Black Friday Consumer

Cheryl Thomas, 16/11/17

So you’ve got wishlists stacking up on various websites and counting down the days to payday.

Everyone in this office has already marked their calendar for Black Friday. Ads on the tv are letting you know that not only are they doing Black Friday but are in fact doing 1-2 weeks of Black Friday deals…. ok well maybe just Amazon.

We want to give you the best opportunity of maximising your Christmas shopping by showcasing where to buy and what to watch out for. So much time and planning has gone into making Chrismtas shopping for the Black Friday Consumer better than ever!

Cashback Sites

Don’t forget to visit these guys first! Some cashback websites wont usually allow you to use a discount code and receive cashback, however Black Friday bends the rules. So not only will you get a nice 20% off your purchase, you could potentially receive 10% cashback too! The biggest cashback sites to visit that will get you the best deals are QuidCo and TopCashBack.

Voucher Sites

This has been months in the planning, every voucher site will have battled for the biggest exclusive deals and only a handful will have won. Remember to look around, don’t just google “Disney Store discount code” and click on the first result. Shop around, put the effort in to check at least 5 other voucher sites, you may find a good % off one site but then find a % off + free delivery discount code on another which wins hands down. If you’re struggling to think of which voucher sites to visit, then check out VoucherCodes, VoucherBox, HotUkDeals and MoneySavingExpert.

Don’t be fooled by one voucher site saying the code is only available for 24 hours. That basically means that the discount is only exclusive to that voucher site for 24 hours. Which means, either the retailer themselves or another voucher site will promote that same discount the following few days.

Facebook Pages

There are SO many great facebook pages that have a feed dedicated to posting great offers that have been spotted online and in store. Fans of the page will happily take a photo of a bargain they’ve found in Asda and post it for everyone to share in the discount haven. These pages are great but can be quite time consuming, unless you’ve got time to go through their huge list of deals. They upload bargain items every hour or even sooner!

Check The Small Print

So you’ve found a good discount code and you’ve added an item to your basket, but now you’re struggling to submit the code as an error appears. Well, some stores only want to discount certain collections – like sale products. They don’t want you getting 35% off all of their stock, so just check that the offer is “everything” and not “35% Off Selected Women’s Socks”, which can be pretty disappointing.
