What is PPC Advertising ?

PPC Advertising stands for “Pay Per Click” and refers to the set of ads that typically appear at the top and right hand side of set of search results. This form of marketing has been around since 2000 when Google were one of the first to market with their search engine and it quickly became a runaway success with retailers and entrepreneurs, I think Google did alright too! Like no other form of marketing PPC advertising can put you in front of hundreds of potential customers in a matter of minutes as long as you have a functioning website.

Whilst this no doubt sounds very attractive there is a word of caution you must be aware of, that ease of access comes at a price and unless you ‘eCommerce ready’ there is a real danger that you can spend of lot of money for not a lot of return. One of the pillars of our approach to the management of PPC advertising is a full appraisal of your eCommerce proposition to ensure you can be competitive in the marketplace and that Pay Per Click marketing is appropriate for you.

Over the years a number of layers have been added to the ways in which PPC advertising is delivered by the major search engines, all of which are designed at being ever more sophisticated at guessing exactly what the customer is searching for. Display marketing, re-targeting, product listings ads and many more…. For the retail start-up or owner-manager this new world of ever evolving marketing can seem overwhelming and almost impossible to breakdown, but it can be done! Having seen all these evolutions since 2001 the Founders at Apex can help you focus on what’s important to get you up and running in the first instance right up to the more advanced techniques to really get your campaigns motoring and optimized with the most up to date practices.

Whether you need a campaign tune-up, ongoing monthly support, ppc advice to help cut out all the noise or maybe just training for your in-house team we can tailor a package to suit your needs, so please get in touch if you think we can help!
